87th Annual High School Oratorical Contest

Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Strickland for sharing this opportunity. The tounament has elements of both prepared speech ( similar to OO) and a topic picked on at the tournament ( simlar to Extemp)

First Place Prize: $1,500 and eligiblity to compete in the National Tournament with a $2000 scholarship.

How : Complete & Mail this paper form. Note that this requires a signature from your grade administrator or counselor. (The form says it has to be signed by the principal, but the organizers have agreed to accept forms signed by administrator or counselors)
Mardi Gras T-shirt Design
Shrewsbury High School hosts the Mardi Gras Carnivale which is the largest speech & debate tournament in Massachusetts. To commemorate our 30th year of hosting this tournament, POISE invites ideas for graphics for a T-Shirt and apparel to be sold at the tournament.
Please do NOT include a year ( e.g. Mardi Gras 2025) in your design
Designs can include up to 4 colors.
We are looking for a design that will appeal to the widest spectrum of of attending competitors ( not just SHS students).
The designs can be submitted by individual students or in teams of up to 3. All team members must be SPS students.
If your design is selected, each member of the team will receive a complimentary item of apparel that its printed on. You will also receive volunteer hours for the time you spent designing, and recognition as the designers during Mardi Gras.
